What is the difference between base uv gel and uv gel builder

It indicates in your profile that you use UV Lights for personal use?
How do you mean? Do you mean to apply uv gel?
Have you had training for this?

No I have not had any training except you tube. I have a 6 watt uv light and have Lina gel and Laquee Rette gel that I bought on ebay. Both say when searching online to first apply base gel then use builder gel. Neither of these gel say they are builder just uv gel. I am wanting to do my own nails. Tired of acrylic. I was wondering if I have to use a base first for the gel to work. What wattage uv lamp should I use?

I just ask what the difference was. I know some gels say nothing about a base gel
