Uv & opi?

Hi,
You'll have to excuse me, i'm new to this. I recently bought a basic 36w 220v uv machine, a bottle of CND shellac, a top and base coat of another make and an Opi Gelcolor. Am i correct in thinking this isn't going to work and that do in fact need all say CND products?

You are correct in thinking that yes! Different brands shouldnt be mixed, you'll end up with service breakdown & all sorts of problems x

As a Consumer, I have moved this post to the Consumer section.

As the title says, this is a site for professional therapists and those in training.

We have all spent a substantial amount of money and time on our training and we are reluctant to give away our training for free.

As you are mixing strong chemicals, there is a huge amount of damage you could do whilst dabbling.

Please think very carefully before proceeding along these lines - they dont have "for Professional Use only" on these products for the sheer hell of it.

This is not an appropriate site for a DIYer, especially a confused one. Try looking at a DIY site like in The Purse Forum under nail care http://forum.purseblog.com/nail-care/. I think you will find a more receptive community and some very good information there.
