So CND is proudly announcing its introduction into drugstores in the US. I am so upset! We mainly use CND products in my salon and am worried that the product is going to get a bad reputation. Non techs are going to have a hard time with Vinylux and they are going to think its a bad product I also don't want to carry non professional products. I have always used CND and am looking now for a new professional brand that has a long wearing quick dry traditional polish. Anybody have some recomendations?

Vinylux yes it's a pro product, but vinylux is also something you can retail in your salon. But I get what your saying it kinda takes its professional-ness away! I'm in the UK as far as I'm aware it's not on sale like that here. Do you retail it?

It's been selling at Ulta for the past 2-3 years and I've seen it at TJmaxx. I'm not surprised it'll be in drugstores.

Vinylux is also being sold in some drugstores here in Canada...one of my clients told me about it :S

As far as I'm aware, it's only select colours and it's to help introduce potential clients to the brand. CND, as a salon-only brand, has an audience limited to those who see it in the salon. Now, they have the chance to see it there and, if they like it, can choose to visit a salon stockist to get the rest of the colours.

I'm not going to lie, at first - before I had any information or the chance to formulate a reasoned argument in my head - my immediate thought was "what are CND playing at! They're selling us loyal techs out".

I've always been a huge fan of Young Nails, i don't believe that they will be available to non professionals ever. Artistic Nail is also a nice brand too, that i also think will stay professional only.
