VTCT Fashion & Photography Make Up Course

Hope I am posting in the correct place I have popped over from Nails

I have applied for this course at Liverpool Community College as it is something I am really interested in plus its an evening course 3 hours a week (1 evening).

Has anybody done this course?? If so how did you find it?

Hopefully I will get on but it could be full already so fingers crossed?

I applied for this a couple of years ago but couldn't get on the course - the tutor rang me and said it was oversubscribed and they were looking to add extra dates and would I be interested in that, to which I said yes of course.

The next I heard was a letter saying I didn't have a place! No reason given or anything. I applied again the following year but heard nothing back. I tried calling and emailing the tutor contact given on the website but didn't get anywhere. I have applied again this year for a different course, let me know if you hear back from them - they seem very disorganised to me! I don't live in Liverpool and wondered if they allocate places to people within the local area first (I'm on the Wirral) but they have never given me any indication of how they select the candidates for the course and I have never managed to get in touch with them to ask them.

Thats really awful hun, i hope we both hear something back for the January start then. It would be awful to just not hear anything and not a good way of running a college either!
