Waxing times?

At the moment I only do spray tanning which I love, partly because it is so quick.

How long does waxing take (per different area).

I would love to specialise in intimate waxing, how long does it take to build up your speed and what time do you allow yourself?

Im sure its the same for most therapists with any new treatments that it takes us much longer to begin with and the more frequently you do it the more confidence you gain and the quicker your timings will get....

Once you do your training and get some experience working with the various waxes and the different areas of the body it will get much faster in time.

When I finished my training it was taking me almost twice the time that it takes now, but I think its more important to get your techniques skill and confidence and then work on your timings...

Eyebrow wax 15 minutes
Underarm wax 15 minutes
Half leg wax 30 minutes
Bikini line wax 15 minutes
Full leg wax 45 minutes
Upper lip wax 10 minutes
Chin wax 10 minutes

plus 15 minutes for consultation

Hi ....
Tranquility UK above has posted good standard timings for you and those are my timings also. Some quicker/longer than others depending if they have less/more hair than average.
However I have to agree with malewaxer that it is most important to get your technique correct before trying to get your timings as quick as possible to make the treatment most comfortable and best result for your client . Some people take to waxing quickly and others need more practice. I have been in Beauty nearly 4 years and still dread Hollywoods :suprised: lol. Though i know some of my friends in the industry fly through them . I only started doing hollywoods recently though practice makes perfect .

Can I ask how your half leg wax takes the same amount of time as your upper lip wax? It takes me much longer to do half leg than upper lip, where am I going wrong?!

Haha, me too. It's just the minimum time to book an appointment on the computer! So if someone was in lets say for a full leg inc bikini and lip & chin I would 'double book' this in the computer and just do 30 mins. I usually finish before the time Im meant to anyway but clients vary so you never know! xxx

No sorry thats my bad, I didnt explain it properly! Id be in trouble if it took me 15 minutes for a lip wax :biggrin:

I think all the other geeks have given such fantastic answers, they said exactly what i would say.

The only other advice i can give you, is make sure you get a great trainer. I can highly recommend Kim Lawless, especially for intimate waxing. I trained with her and felt completely confident from the time i did my first hollywood over a year ago.
