Hiya

I'm looking into getting extensions, and at the moment, weaves are looking the best option.

Someone at the salon where my grandma gets her hair done has reccomended her friend who does weaves, and they are obviously the most natural and apparently cheapest way of getting extensions.

I was just wondering though, as for my wedding I am swaying towards just having my hair down and really curly, but I may want an up-do, is it possible to have an up-do with weaves in, and for it to still look natural? I've tried googling it but nothings really coming up.

Thanks :)

xx

Im not sure what you mean by 'most natural'? Personally I dont like weaves & for this reason dont fit them. I aso think they're uncomfortable. I you wanted a cheaper method, I'd look towards a micro ring weft. They're the same sort of thing as a weave but the weft is clamped in instead of sewn to a corn row. I doubt you could have hair up with any of the methods using a weft of hair. Strand by strand methods (glue, micro ring etc) are far better & would give you the option of hair up for your wedding.

I mean ones that won't look fake.

I don't know anywhere that would do micro ring wefts?? Never heard of them aha. Also, I'm looking for ones that aren't going to damage my natural hair as much, and clamping in can?

I know that strand by strand methods are better for having more to play with, but I'm on a budget for my wedding and can't afford £200 minimum for those.

With a weave, surely I can have a half up, half down? As you'd be taking the half up from the same sort of line as where the weave is?

Thanks for the reply :)

Shame you are so far from me as I could have done either micro weft or micro ing for you within your budget :D

If you don't want permanent extensions ( for 3+ months ) then micro weft would be better for you IMO xx

Damn :(

I don't know if theres a way to look for someone closer that can do in my budget. I'd love to have the micro bonds so I can keep them longer, but like I said, I just can't afford it.

Is there anyway of searching on here?

You could check Facebook and Free Index for technicians in your area hun. Please, please if you use FB make sure you see qualifications before you have your fitting and ensure that they are using reputable hair source also to avoid your being left with a matted mess after 3 weeks xx
