Can anyone tell me what relights /86 is like as a toner on prelightened hair? Never used relights before. Do they last as long as say CT 8/81?
Thank you
Thank you
Relights is lovely, but if the hair isnt light enough, it does flatten it so it just looks darker. But it's beautiful over a level 9 or 10Can anyone tell me what relights /86 is like as a toner on prelightened hair? Never used relights before. Do they last as long as say CT 8/81?

Thank you. I will be working with a level 10 that has slightly warmer roots. How do you think it will differ to the 8/81? Would it just be less ashy?Relights is lovely, but if the hair isnt light enough, it does flatten it so it just looks darker. But it's beautiful over a level 9 or 10
I find the /86 neutralises better than the 8/81 because there's no violet in the 8/81 to counteract the yellow tones. So you should get a cleaner result. And I feel like it starts developing later than 8/81 allowing more time for application.Thank you. I will be working with a level 10 that has slightly warmer roots. Brilliant, thank you. Because the roots are warmer than the rest, would it be enough to even it out applying the /86 to pre washed hair and applying to roots first before taking through the rest of hair? I want to avoid bleaching to even it out if poss.I find the /86 neutralises better than the 8/81 because there's no violet in the 8/81 to counteract the yellow tones. I would probably put /86 on roots and then use 1part /86 and 2parts /00 on the ends for about 5 minsBrilliant, thank you. Oh that's not quite what I had imagined. That looks like a base 8 on the roots that has already been toned. You'll need to lighten the roots more if you want it to match the ends. I wouldn't bother with 10/0+12% because of the strength of it, it would be more damaging than using bleach and 3%. Is 8/81 your target shade?Just one more thing, I've attached a photo of warm root problem. Should the /86 correct this or will I need to try 10/0 and 12%?
Yes I guess 8/81 is the closest target shade I can think of, a silvery ash. But trying to avoid the use of bleach to lift the warmth if possibleOh that's not quite what I had imagined. You could use 10/0 +12% but to be honest its going to create the same amount of damage if not more because of the level of chosen developer you're also not guaranteed results as the hair is already coloured. Bleach and a lower developer is guaranteed results and less damage.Yes I guess 8/81 is the closest target shade I can think of, a silvery ash. Thank you. I've just always found bleach to be so drying on finer hair types, that's my only concernYou could use 10/0 +12% but to be honest its going to create the same amount of damage if not more because of the level of chosen developer you're also not guaranteed results as the hair is already coloured. Because the 12% will open the cuticle more than say 3% will with bleach, there should be less cuticle damage.
Try scalp bleach or cream bleach rather than powder bleach. And drop your developer try 1.9% or 1.5%, low and slow is better, so just be prepared to leave it longer. Use olaplex if that's available to you.Thank you. I've just always found bleach to be so drying on finer hair types, that's my only concern
