Hi guys,

after tlking t my college tutor yesterday im really confused!! i currently have 2 colours on my hair - the bottom is a dark chocolate brown with red on the top half, i love it but my red fades so so fast. i am wanting to get a cherry red if i can a sort of red with a slight purplt reflect from it if you get wat i mean!! i want to use wella koleston if possible, any ideas? thanks geeks. xx

66/46 :) love it. /4 is red and/6 is violet/....so its a red with a little violet in it xx

Hi kimi, thanks for the fast reply - im only in my first year so its a lil confusing to me!! can you tell me wat the mix would b and am i mixing with 6% still? sorry to sound dumb but my tutor explained it but im not keen on the colour she suggested. x

Just checked again kimi and thats the only my tutor suggested but on the colour chart sample it seemed more red than dark red with a cherry colour? i was wondering if to add some of the koleston special mix to it - to give it a more deeper tone but not to deep? either the 0/55 or 0/66 ? help guys please!! x

Hi, If you add some 55/65 into the 66/46 and mix with 3% it will be a great colour :) the 3% with hold the colour better as you only want to deposit colour rather than lift unless ur natural colour is really dark. Hope this helps

hi sam, is the 55/65 from the koleston special mix range? m natural hair is a mousy brown but i have a faded - very faded!! red on at the moment!! how long should the colour last - all this fast fading is putting me iff my red but i love it!! if i can get a good colour which will last a bit longer! X

Hi hun

55/65 is a gorgeous red colour, I had it when I was at college (it was actually a similar colour to the tinsel Kimi has on her head in her profile pic )

Go with 3% as advised and it should last a little longer, also try not to wash your hair too much as this will fade it too. Unfortunately reds do fade mega quick, so be prepared to keep doing it if you really want this colour.

Good luck

xx

Wella 66/46 is a great Red,I've been using this on Two of my clients and find neither fades in the slightest when i go back to do the regrowth, 55/65 also has great staying power without fade. I use 6% with both :)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the advice, ive gone for the 55/65, ordeed it over the weekend and hoping it arrives soon as i am in desperate need!! will let you all know what i think when it is done!! Thanks again. xx
