How do you know how much mix tone to use?

There is a guide on the shade chart

How do you know how much mix tone to use?
Alway use rule of 11
11- your base shade = cm of mix tone ÷2 = Grams of mix tone, that you would add for every 30g of base colour.
Example:
11-7= 4(4cm of desired mix tone) ÷2 = 2g of mix tone.
Also don't forget that the 0/43 mix tone you have to mix 1:2 with the chosen developer.

Ah, interesting, thank you

So just to be sure, something like;
11-10=1cm ÷2 =0.5g
11- 8 =3cm ÷2=1.5g
And so on?
I can be a bit dim with maths so I just want to check I've understood that correctly [emoji4]

XXXXXXXXX

Are you a hairdresser? Just wondering as 30vol is 9% and the post is asking about mix tones. Colour charm is a non pro high ammonia toner. Also Koleston special blonde aren’t toners in case you got them to use as toners

When did this ÷2 rule come in? I'd never heard of that before. I just did 11 minus the base shade.

And that's only if you want to neutralise or intensify the colour. If you want bright vivid colours you can experiment by adding more x

Hey again, do you k ow if it's ok to mix koleston perfect mix tone with instamatics colours? I want to try a cocktail of kp 0/68 +0/66 with Insta mauve.
The hair I want to work on was rose gold but the pink yones have faded and left it looking way too gold bordering on ginger. So if I go ott with violet and blue tones it should turn it more icy right?
Please bare with me, I'm still finding my feet lol xx
