Wella special mix 0/88

Hi! I have a client with a base of between 6 and 7. She has been having golden hilights for a while and decided she would rather have a full head tint. She first liked 8/3 but ended up too golden so we used next time 8/0 but she has so much natural gold in her hair she was an 8/03. When i saw her 6 weeks later to touch up her roots she said she still thought her hair was too golden so i used 8/1 on the roots and half way down her hair which was very golden, the ends which had been highlighted previously had faded loads were a lovely ash colour but very dull, we decided to leave them for now. Her hair is still too golden, i thought next time i could add wella 0/88 special mix but i'm not too sure about the measurements as haven't used special mixes for years.... Also thought about using 9/01 colour touch to brighten the ends up a bit but will need to use something else on roots, help!!!!!
She's getting married in june and need to sort her colour out before then!!

Hiya fellow geek. I had a client with the same problem and I used 88/0 +3 inches of 0/11 mixtone. It had fab coverage and very little golden tones. Hope this helps

if her ends are already ashy i wouldnt use 9/01 it could look a bit too ashy compaired to how gold her roots/mid lenghs are

Thanks for your replys. She's now decided she doesnt like the full head colour effect and wants to go back to hilites, aagghh! Think I'm going to suggest she finds someone else as don't think she'll ever be happy with her hair. Any suggestions how i can say that to her??xx

Even though she's going to a base lower use 8/81 in Colour Touch & they say add 10g of /88 to 20g desired shade but in this case you just want to get rid of the stubborn gold so use 20gs 8/81 & just 5gs of /88 & 1.9% & apply to pre shampooed/ towel dry hair & silly like a toner Keep an eye on it

Thanks tommy gleed! Think that would be ok on the regrowth area but the pre highlighted hair is now very ashy almost kacki in the light,what would you recommend i put on the ends?
