hey geeks

so i saw on here a few fellow geeks were using acrylic paint for nail art, i popped to my local craft shop and picked up some acrylic paints but when i paint with them they dry really dark and matte and look awful, they show brush marks really easily and i get quite a bumpy finish, maybe its just me and i need to get used to it but i've done a few now. I'm going to take a trip into town next week and see if another brand will work better. just wondered what everyone else is using and getting good results with? and if you aren't using acrylic paint, what are you using?

thanks in advance geeks :D

Mine are the same I just mix a small amount of water from ny brush in them and there loads better. Are u using top.coat over ? Cause them bieng.matte.shouldent really matter as u need.to seal it with a top coat xxx

yup always use a top coat but they still look abit something and nothing. I'll give the water tip a go :) thanks

hiya I use Folk Art and Decoart which I buy both from hobbycraft. They do need thinning a little but a drop of paint goes a long way. Every colour you could want too. I put a little into a tiny pot (like what you get in a painting by numbers kit) and add a drop of water at a time intill you have right mix. x
