What caused these dents

I had a client today - she hasn't had acrylic on her nails before.. And hasn't had any treatment or colour on her nails.. But said they had just appeared after a week of poor eating.. The picture doesn't show to clearly, but two deep dents and with white lines going through..

Any ideas? I was honest and said didn't know what could have caused, but I said I research to see if I could find any answers
