Hi, Sorry stupid question from non-hairdresser, I understand a bit about the colour schemes, but isn't /3 gold and /8 blue? I thought gold and blue counteracted each other, so how can you have a /38?
In the Wella colour swatch it looks great but don't want to try it without knowing what colour it is :o
Thanks.

As 3 is gold and 8 is blue, it will be gold/pearl, eg 10/38, 8/38. How will you be using it? xx

I'm looking for the right level 10 shade for my hair. Level 12 shades take it too white so have switched to 10. Have got underlying red in hair and 10/1 still too ginger. So it has been suggested 10/8. Was curious about the 10/38 because I like the colour. But if it has gold it may turn mine ginger again? Have appt Tuesday and desperate to get a good shade this time. I am naturally level 7 but now have 12/0 ends and 10/1 roots.
Thanks.

blue counteracts orange not yellow. . . but besides that, colours can still be in neautralising tones mixed together, but depending on the amount of each tone, one will remain more prevalent slightly altering the hue of the more dominant shade.
10.38 is like a champagne blonde. . x

Thanks, colouring really is a science. No wonder I've had so many disasters :D
Champagne blonde sounds good, would it be a cool enough colour to counteract the orange, or would I be better to stick with 10/8? I can't face another month of dull ginger roots.. X

lol do a test piece first. . . only sure fire way to know x

Add a cm of /88 to the 10/8 to counteract orange roots

Thanks Tillie :) Guessing you've tried this and it's worked, so I'm going to go with this. Do you actually get quite a clean blonde with this? I imagine the blue and orange just going murky! X
