Hey guys,

I am looking for some hair advice from the Hair Geeks.

I am a salon geek myself from the beauty side. I am seriously considering having my hair cut.

I LOVE Frankie Sanford's hair.

What would I ask for in a hairdressers and how do I find one that can do it correctly?

I attempted getting it cut like this a few years ago, I just showed her the picture and left her to it. It was horrible! I ended up with a pixie crop and a tiny fringe. So as you can imagine I am now terrified.

Tried looking at local salons pictures to find anything similar but at the moment they only have loads of ombré hair pictures.

Thanks in advance.

All hairdressers have their particular strengths and not every hairdresser is good at cutting shorter hair styles.

Ideally, you need to find someone through personal recommendation. Do you know where your friends and colleagues go? Otherwise, when you're out and about locally, if you see someone with a great short haircut, stop them, compliment them and ask where they got it done. I've done this when I needed to find a new hairdresser after moving house.

If you're not far from London, you could go to one of the Sassoon training academies and book in as a model for a cut. Bonus is it's very cheap BUT you do need to allow about 3 hours as its part of a training session. You will leave with a great cut and you might even enjoy listening in. Otherwise take something to read.

Thanks, that's good advice. I shall ask around. All my friends have long hair, but may be able to recommend someone. X
