Hi,

I'd like to offer another gel polish alongside Shellac.

I've come across so many brands I've no idea what to offer now.

IBD just gel polish- some people say it needs 3 coats for a good coverage
Magpie gel polish- I've only recently heard of these.
Gelish- expensive- more than shellac
OPI

I'm a stay at home mom and just starting up so money is an issues. I want a good quality polish but at the same time don't want to pay the earth and spend loads of money as I don't have mush of a client base yet.

What do you like and what are the pros and cons of the product you like or recommend I look at?

Many thanks

Gel II (pronounced Gel 2) - available from The Creative Beauty Group in Hampshire. Great products, great prices and colours

Can anyone else let me know what they use and why please xx

I'm in the same boat, just starting up. I've been using OPI it's really good and lasts up to 2weeks. I've just been to the trade shop and been advised to give Halo gel a go as they have a great selection of colours and they last longer than 2 weeks. And they are also really cheap! So I've bought some to try out!

I've introduced The Gel Bottle (TGB ) after being almost exclusively a Shellac salon TGB is fabulous, easy to apply and very hard wearing. It can be used to build extensions, comes in great colors, and is very reasonable to buy. I still stock Shellac, but use the TGB base and top coat with it to make it more long lasting.

Me too. The Gel bottle (stupid name imo ) is a great product and does particularly well where Shellac fails - on weak flimsy and damaged nails
