What's the difference between rockstar nails and twinkle toes?

hiya im quite new to all this i am qualified in acrylic and gel and have heard many people in the uk mention twinkle toes ive seen them on people but not seen how they are done x are they gel or acrylic ?is it in a tub or a bottle like polish ? what company makes it? and where can u buy it ?

Also ive seen people talk about rockstar nails what are these same questions as above .

I do my Rockstar toes with Shellac and loose glitter.

If a client wants, I'll embed it in gel.

Twinkle toes are just gel clear or coloured with glitter covering the surface area very sparkly!! Im just about to train in rockstar though as i thik the products are better and longer lasting you can speak to sweet squared theyre fab!....

So to to twinkle toes you just mix glitter (any type / brand?) into any type brand gel or you apply gel and simply shake glitter on to it ? do u seal in like eskimonailtech says you do with rockstar nails xx what brand trains in roackstar nails is it a companys procedure do you use a specific gel/glitter soory to be a pain just little confused still xxx thanx aswell

Yeah call sweet squared 08452106060 for rockstar this is with the shellac thats your best bet and yeah the glitters just sprinkled over the gel hun good luck with it!x

You can get the twinkle toes kit from young nails. You get a tub of clear gel, gel top coat, 4 glitters, primer, oil, gel brush, a file, and a brush to brush off excess glitter x

I think they are the same thing with different names. i.e. glitter with gel polish or gel polish hybrid.

Looking on websites showing the two different names, I don't think you would know the difference in the result - so don't turn away a client if you think you do one but not the other:biggrin:

Also does anyone know if this would work with a different gel polish say quattros i have some of them im not wanting to do it as a service just on myself really xx when i train in shellac id love to do it with them it looks lush nothing beats a bit of bling xxx

The gel in that kit is just clear so you could probably use any gel to be honest. Alls I have been doing the past 6 weeks are twinkle toes! You'll love them x

Prep and prime the nail.
Apply one coat of clear gel and cure for 2 mins.
Apply second coat of gel and sprinkle glitter. Tap foot to remove excess glitter and cure for 2 mins.
Brush away excess glitter apply third coat of gel and sprinkle again and cure for 2 mins.
Brush excess again and apply one more coat of gel and cure for 2 mins.
Wipe sticky layer and buff nail so it is smooth and not rough from the glitter. Apply gel top coat and cure for 2 mins.
Wipe sticky layer and apply cuticle oil.
Voila!

Little tip so you don't waste glitter! I fold a piece of paper in half open up again and do your sprinkling over the paper. That way the glitter you tap away from the nail will fall onto the paper and you can bend the paper so it's like a funnel and put the glitter back into your pot.

ok tired doing rockstar nails and boy did i find it difficuly i used th v3 method but as i was rubbing it into the sticky layer it just turned into a big mess didnt go foily like it should xx i wont give up though ill keep trying x

In the USA, twinkle toes are coloured gel with the same colour of glitter sprinkled over the top, and rockstar toes are full glitter.

In the UK, it's the other way around xx

When you say gel, do you mean gel polish or builder gel? Does anyone know about/how you encapsulate glitters into gel so the glitter floats? Does it mean mix onto the gel? Or something different?
