hellooo
just started doing micro ring extensions and 2/5 models had their hair taken out after a week as they said their head was very itchy and the scalp was very irritable!
i did my own hair and it was itchy at first when i didnt wash them properly but now im fine!
i place the hair about 1cm from the scalp advise them to wash throughly and no conditioner near the rings also ask for them to use a special shampoo or Dove which i find works just as well!

any suggestions on what i did wrong etc as im worried to go in and do real clients! ahhh!

i was gonna say r u sure you didint have the ring either too close or overly tight ? but if oyu think that you have deffo got them rihgt then it cant be it .. it may be just they feel weird for some people , i know my sister once had extensions in with a weave method and she had to take em out it drove her batty coz it irritated her so much
sorry am not much help hun , but i dont often do them so i aint a big specialist in that area x

hiya some people can either live with them or they cant i usually have the weave in and when i first had it in my scalp was red from me itchin so much but then i got used to it and i did the same with my cousin i put weave in her and she found it unbearable so many people just have a lower threshold so they just cant handle the itchiness lol x

I think maybe your angle of application needs attention. All you should feel with hair ext is some weight. If they itch they are either too close or not hanging perfectly straight, so there are stress points on the section.

I could only say that possibly the may be too much tension from your models scalp causing their irritation...have you ever looked into fusion extensions. Once I learned them I threw all other ext out the window, and its a huge profit

I specialise in these and they get very itchy when a little too close to the scalp
