have had 3 nail disasters this week (in my eyes) and am wondering if i should have left it bit longer before charging full price
wont go into detail as have already posted about the problems i encoutered, basically took twice as long to do minx as usual and shellac looked patchy, not a brilliant finish and again took longer than usual
now im questioning my quality of work and think perhaps i should re-look at my pricing
was planning to introduce dashing diva and crystal toes but think i will leave until im 100% confident, the problem i have is finding people to practice on - i live in new area and hardly know anyone so end up practising on my 3 daughters who have perfect nails and then get in trouble when im faced with someone who has less than perfect nails
im also wondering if i perhaps need more training - i did the spa mani, minx, shellac etc but didnt cover the whole spectrum of problems i might encounter, for example my shellac lady had flaking nails but below the free edge, her nails were too short to take down so i kind of tried to gentle file the chips away - have no idea if this is right or not as never covered it in my course .. and that makes me feel less than a professional - should i perhaps have taken additional manicure course to the cnd fingernails naturally, i was told this was sufficient but am now worrying it was not enough!

no one?
just had a thought .. i did shellac mani in different part of the room, with my back to the window and sun streaming in, could that have affected the application, really found it hard to work with wondering if the sun was curing it on the brush or something ?

with nail ehancements I did an introductory offer for the first 3 months after i'd qualified. Then i put my prices at a normal local level and got on with it! I have always charged full price for minx and gelish (i dont use shellac)

I cant say i got everything right to start with and i didnt keep every customer that i started with, but no training will teach you to deal with every type of nail or problem you come across. Unfortuantely you just have to throw yourself in at the deep end and give it a go!

Sitting in bright sunlight might affect your application and your product, i'd avoid it as much as you can
