Hi Geeks,

I've posted something similar to this before but now my circumstances have changed.

Just looking for people's opinions on what would be best for me!

So, long story short I'm training in Gelish. No other beauty experience and looking to start up mobile/from home.

I'm moving in with my boyfriend and we are going to rent for a year before we buy.

My problem is where I currently live is NOT where we would like to buy. Where we'd like to buy is about a 30 minute drive from here and I don't know that many people there.

So, Would it be better for us to rent for a year where I've lived my whole life, know people where I could build a client base and then work hard to build a new one when we eventually buy?

Or

Rent where we'd like to buy, work even harder to build a client base and not have to worry when we do move?

I hope this makes sense lol!!

Any advise would be soo appreciated as I really am so confused [emoji85]

Thank you xxx

I don't really have any ideas to help you but I'm in a similar situation.... I have built my client base up within the area I live in but I am looking at getting a mortgage with my partner etc and move to another town

It's so hard isn't it [emoji17] are you close enough that your clients would follow you?

Either way I'm going to have to build up a client base in the new town but it's whether to do it now or later [emoji16] xx

I'd always go with where your going too settle. What is the point in working hard too build your business too move and start it all from scratch. If you can just do it the once sounds a lot better too me. That's just my opinion though good luck whatever you decide [emoji4][emoji108] xxxx

It's crazy the amount of time I've had to start from scratch and build a client base over the past 9 years! Think I'm becoming a bit of a pro at it now lol.

Personally I would rent where you're going to eventually move. What's the point in working hard to build up a client base twice?

Fairly close but as I only specialist in hair extensions a lot of my clients will come with me as they can't get the service from anyone else. I sort of did a poll and asked my clients at there appointments whether they would travel or I can be mobile to them and they all said yes so maybe ask your clients that xx
