Hi, ive noticed how favoured CND are amongst nail techs, i also know that you cant do a CND converison unless you are already qualified. Does anyone know which companies they accept for you to be able to do the CND conversion as i cannot afford 2k to do their standard course!
Thanks

So long as you have completed an accredited training course in manicure/pedicure/L&P or gel, and have received a certificate, you should be eligible for CND conversion.

For clarification, why not give S2 a call and they will confirm the exact requirements:

0845 210 6060

After much looking around online i decided i'd really like to do the CND course, it was however nearly 1k and i just cant afford this so i thought doing one of their conversion courses would be a good idea once qualified!

I was looking into training with essential nails but heard that CND do not accept the essential nail qualification to be able to enrol on one of their conversion courses! So i contacted CND and this is what they said...

You are now chatting with 'Kelly B'
jessica: Hi, i just wanted to know what training courses you accept for students to be able to do a conversion course?
Kelly B: Hi Jessica, is it liquid and powder or gel??? have you got a full certificate for them?
jessica: acrlyic liquid. No i havent, im just wondering which providers you accept as im aware you wont accept students who have qualified on an essential nails course to do a conversion course with you. Just want to look at my training options but i want to be eligable for your conversion course
Kelly B: depends how long you have had your essential nail certificate?? we do a liquid and powder beginners course that is a 8 day course for 945.95 + vat
jessica: i havent trained yet. I've just been looking online and on salon geek for advice. At the moment your 8 day course isnt favourable for me so wanted to explore other training courses so i can do the conversion
Kelly B: ah i do apologies jessica, to come on the conversion course you would need to feel confident on the product you would already be using and with your smile lines, we cant really give you a length of time as everyone is different. Some people can be confident after a couple of months but some can take a couple of years.
jessica: and how do i prove i am confident to be accepted on your conversion?
Kelly B: its if you fell confident in yourself.
jessica: so if i qualified in essential nails and then approached you saying i feel confident now, then you would allow me to enrol on the conversion course?
jessica: its just that many people have said you only accept certain accredited courses and not accept essential nails
Kelly B: yes once you qualify with essential nails once you yourself feel confident you are welcome to book onto our conversion course.
jessica: is there anything i'd need to do to be able to book onto the conversion? do i just show you my essential nails certificate? So i could book on the conversion if i felt confident after i passed my essential nails course?
Kelly B: yes we would just need to see your essential nail certificate, if you feel confident after you have passed that is great and you will be able to book on the conversion course

So to me, CND are saying as long as you feel confident you can book onto their conversion regardless of where you have trained! I have seen many people say CND will NOT accept essential nails but theyre saying otherwise...

Thoughts?? x
