Which are good colors to have when first starting nails?

What are good colors to have when you start doing nails I'm looking for acrylic powders and gels. Iam starting to do acrylic and shallec nails on clients now and i wanna bring in new color inventory but iam not sure what colors i should have.

I am just starting to build up my gel polish collection and good start colours for me are black, white, grey, nude, pale pink, hot pink, coral and plum.

Maybe a dark green and blue, some glitters too. These come in handy this time of year

Black, White, Sheer Pink (suitable for French) and some kind of nude.
Then, one colour from each colour group and at least one glitter option.

When I first started out, I went onto google and looked up nail art. I would look at the design and ask myself, do I have the colours (not necessary same shade) to re-create this look... if I didn't, I was missing a basic colour
Following my 12-14 initial basic colours, I would bring in new ones after several requests for the same shade.
