Hi ladies,

I'm stuck choosing which gel polish course to do so wanted some opinions, and feedback on the products please.

I'm looking at the Salon Services Gellux, S2 CND shellac beginners,or Nail harmony gelish soak off.

The price difference, whether a one day course is sufficient, and the products quality for use once qualified are my concerns.

If there are any other courses you would recommend instead I would be interested to hear those too.

Thanks x

Hi, I have done the opi training, which was good, I have used gellux but didn't find they lasted as long as opi and gelish

I use Salon System Gellux and it's great. I trained with them and my trainer was brilliant. [emoji4][emoji106]

I would recommend S2 course. I completed their CND Shellac beginners and felt completely confident to go straight to work! The kit you get with the course is fab and it's good value for money. The educators are friendly, supportive and so passionate, you can't go wrong with a S2 course!

I did the S2 shellac too, lots of pre course studying to do which I really liked.

It's worth buying Doug Schoons nail chemistry text book, it's worth it's weight in gold. He has another one out on acrylic/gel and one coming up in May.

Thanks for your replies.

Still haven't decided!

I really like the sound of S2 but for the price of a single bottle of polish it's making me rethink

Lol I'm the same can't choose between cnd or gel 11 or ink london or gel bottle although gel bottle do not have training dates. My cloaest is cnd but like the idea of the gel 11 course which is in Essex and I'm kent x x

When you work out cost per set for whichever brand you choose it works out pennies. x

True is shellac still popular now there are these other brands which last longer? X x

I was just coming to say this exact thing :)

Another thing to add is that if you are charging appropriately, then you'll make you money back quickly.

I have only done the S2 course, so can't comment on the efficacy of the others, but it was fantastic - and has since changed to be even better, in my opinion.
