My nails are a pain in the bum and gel polish lifts like the devil around the edges after only a couple of days. I used to have acrylic nails years ago but even they would lift after 2-3 days but I was at least able to put a coat of clear varnish over the top of them so it didn't look too bad! Is there anything that will stick and stay stuck around the edges? I'm tempted to have another go at acrylic failing anything else!! Any advice would be fantastic, I just want nice nails!!

Were u doing your nails yourself or getting done professionally? X

I wouldn't dare do it myself, I definitely leave that to professionals!

It's difficult to say without seeing your nails and knowing what caused the lifting and peeling. What is the condition of your nails?

I would say they are fairly good strong nails. I don't bite them or have them stuck in water all day. They grow fairly quick but I do have quite a bit of cuticle on the nail and my hands are a little on the dry side. I normally have my nails done for holidays and special occasions and I'd love to get them done regularly but I need something that lasts before I commit.

Maybe try hard gel, if your looking for extensions? Or a harder wearing gel polish like geleration or cuccio? X

Would a hard gel be something like biosculpture?

I think bio sculpture is a soak-able gel. I was thinking like CND brisa gel. If your own nails are quite strong like you say a natural nail overlay would be a good option. Some of my ladies who have quite bad lifting with L&P (no matter what I do) I have moved them over to hard gel & they have no problems. But I have come across a few ladies in my time with whom nothing seems to last on them! X

I'll give the brisa a try as there is a good local salon that does this. Fingers crossed it stops on! Thanks for the advice. :)
