Hi All,

I have a steady job which I'm happy with at the moment but I'd really like to work for myself at some point in the future. I have always loved giving friends and family manicures and pedicures and so have decided that I'd like to take a distance learning course which will allow me to work for myself as a nail technician at some point in the future.

Would an NVQ be the best way to go? Can anyone explain to me the difference between the NVQ Level 2 Nail Technician Course and the NVQ Level 2 Nail Services course?

Last question - can anyone recommend a distance learning provider?

Thank you in advance!!!

Lucy

I personally wouldn't recommend a distance class as a beginning ,
it is a beginning but with no one there to guide you when you go wrong or to show you a simple technique, you will end up going around the houses instead of straight to your destination!

If you want to be an amazing nail tech then I would advice getting amazing training and they use grate products ;) , if you call Sweet squared 0845 210 606060 Welcome - Sweet Squared

They Will be able to send you information , about course dates etc in your area .

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll look into that.

I'm a little confused about what level of qualification I will actually need to work in the industry though, will I need to get insurance to work mobile or from home and if so are specific qualifications required?

Thanks again!

Lucy
