Hi!

I'm trying to build up my Shellac collection. I wanted to order a couple more but I can't decide!! Was wondering if I could get some help as to what colours you find are popular. I already have:

Studio White & Negligee for French
Gotcha
Strawberry Smoothie
Hotski to Tchotchke
Purple Purple
Fedora
Zillionnaire
Moonlight & Roses
Hollywood
Asphalt

At the moment, I'm thinking Rock Royalty for definite but I can't decide whether to get a hot pink (Tutti Frutti), nude (Cocoa) or coral (Tropix) x

I would definitely get Moonlight/Roses as you can layer that over ANYTHING and create a whole new color. Now that we're going into Fall/Winter, I think darker colors will be more popular. Purple Purple is amazing as is Fedora and Decadence.

If you have Mother of Pearl, I would skip Zillionaire. Personally, I prefer MoP. HTH! :)

Perfect for autumn and winter are:
Decadance a deep blood red
Red barroness- A rich shimmering dark red ruby
Masquerade- A rich deep burgandy with a shimmer
Iced Cappuccino- a sumpcious gold
Blackpool- the black patent leather look.
Rock Royalty- A decadent rich dark purple with a slight pink shimmer
Really I would just continue to build your collection as they are all popular but the above are definates for this time of year.

Thank you! Although the list is colours I already have. So I have Purple Purple & Zillionnaire. I brought the whole of the new collection. But I agree, darker colours for the winter. I may leave the hot pink for a while then.... x

I would get Hollywood... that would be a must for me and it looks fab layered with strawberry smoothie, Negligee and moonlight and roses which are two colours you already have.

Cocoa is a great colour for that natural look and tuitti fruiti is one of the most popular colours for me, especially for the toes.

Remember you can layer all of your Shellac colours...

For example if you layer your asphalt with negligee you'll get a fab navy colour... the layering possibilities with Shellac are endless!! :)

Oh yes all the layering possibilities!!! I have ordered a couple of colour wheels, can't wait for them to arrive so I can start creating new colours and discovering all the layering options!! xx

I'm so sorry...I misread your post and thought the colors you listed were colors you were thinking of getting. :o

Rock Royalty is great and looks fab with PP over it. I also love Decadence. It's beautiful. Blackpool will be fun for Halloween nails. HTH! :)

Out of the colours you're looking at getting i'd go for cocoa as the tutti fruiti and tropix are quite summery colours (though my clients seem to be still wanting them). An alternative to cocoa could be iced cappuccino as this is a warmer gold colour which a few clients have already earmarked for their Christmas nails. Have fun adding to your collection!

I agree, I should definitely be looking at sticking to deeper, richer colours for this time of year. I'm going to get another topcoat as well and have also ordered some glitters to do Rockstar manicures and pedicures!! x

Tutti frutti, tropix & cocoa have all been very popular with my clients. :)

I'd try to get them all to be honest. I've had lots of customers as a result of other local salons not having certain colours: "but have you actually got rock royalty in stock, cos they told me they did shellac but when I got there they only had a few of the colours!"' is a conversation I've had several times recently!

I agree with the above, having them all really is the olny answer!

Do you not have the option of cream puff for the white? I havn't had a single client prefer the studio white. Not sorry I got it however as there will always be the one who wants what you don't have!:green:

Tropix and cocoa are popular plus if you get iced coral that's great for layering over any colour you'll be surprised how different it makes the base colour look especially to jazz up nudes :)

Eventually, I hope to have them all. Have been trying to build them up gradually so it doesn't have such an impact on the bank balance!! I've brought most of the ones I have at Olympia, and will be adding as many as I can every month.
I tried to order cream puff on line for ages but it was always out of stock! I then went to get it at Olympia and it was still unavailable. The clients that have french have loved Studio White however, there will always be that one client who wants it!! I think it's back in stock now isn't it? x
