Hi fellow geeks have a new client who has 100% grey roots about 2" and mid lengths and ends around an ashy 9. What is the rule with mixing? Do I need to add more base?? Go much etc.

Thankyou :) x

* how much!! Lol

You could use 99/0 but I think you only get guaranteed 100% coverage with base 8 or lower x. .

88/0 8/3 personally, ash on 100% is always a bit odd x

Ok thanks or the help il look into the 88/0 and 8/03 :)

If you want to keep to a base 9 I would use the 99/0 for extra coverage.
If you want to keep it ash, mix half 9/1 with half 99/0

But as already mentioned, sometimes a level 9 tint will look a bit translucent on 100% white hair. Personally I think this looks quite natural as you don't get a total block or opaque color result.

:biggrin:

i would use 3/4 99/0 and 1/4 88/0 with some ash tone . . . apply to roots and refresh the ends with a colour bath to ensure seamless end result :)

Thanks guys x

Or 9/17 is nice, maybe try 1/4 and 3/4 with 99/0 1st to see :biggrin:

1/2 88/0 + 1/2 8/38 the 8 adds pearl so not to gold or if lighter required, 1/2 88/0 and 1/2 9/38?
