Hi
My boss is offering 30% off acrylics. Not sure if I am allowed to mention prices on here but with the 30% off it cheap.
I have only been there 3 week so I know he is testing the waters. I have noticed that shellac clients come in during the day but the acrylic clients with come in at the very last moment. I think they are walking around looking at the price and coming back if they can't find a better offer.
One lady came in last night at 4, she was a walk-in we finish at 6 . She had missed an appointment with her usual salon and had the nails on for 4 weeks which were really thick and long, most of them were broken and miss shaped, she needed an infill, reshape, 2 nail replacements, shellac on hands and feet, she went to the toilet twice. I finished at 6.12 the other staff had gone I had to lock up and missed my bus.
It's got me thinking, do I want clients like this? Is the £30% off attracting the wrong sort of attention? The salon is in town in a good location. I think that if he put some nice advertising in the window without mentioning price it would look more professional. After three weeks it needs to change.
Thanks Jo
