I too am super jealous! Hoping to do my shellac training around march, after xmas and kids birthdays are out the way and I can actually afford it haha

Bit off topic but when I got in from college today, sat waiting for me was my level 2 nails certificate Definately given me even more drive to suceed on this course too hehe xx

Chezza, dont be sorry, its great that you will be learning it as part of the course, we were flatly told we will not be learning gel nails due to the fact that they dont think it would work as we cant wear nail polish in class - boooo.

a few more blog updates and I am currently agonising over what brushes to get for make-up. I had thought I had settled on EcoTools until somebody suggested E.L.F damn it lol.

Check out crown brushes. It was the chosen set for my course and they are flippin amazing! I can only compare to last years horid facefix set, but I am made up with the quality! I got this set:

With a slightly nicer case though as they ran out of the 1 pictured they wash really well too! Absolute bargain if you ask me, I cant fault them! Xx

:O didnt know that! College just gave us a page with links and codes so didnt really research anything! Even less so for me as college bought all mine!

Our college tutor for make-up encouraged the class to go for animal hair brushes as she believes them best "and its not like they kill animals for the hair anyway". I had to point out that the only reason they say that is because they take the hair as a biproduct of animals killed for meat/skin etc. So no doubt your brushes will do the job beautifully just not for me.

I do wish the college kit had more in it to save us buying loads of extras BUT on the flip side I appreciate being able to research my own items to get exactly what I want.

Just pondering my blog for today - I have a feeling it may end up being called "I want to spray tan Kate Middleton" lol.

We have a hair and make up competition in a city centre hotel a week today! There was no given theme so we chose harijuku girls (if thats how you spell it!) basically those 4 girls who follow round gwen stefani! Excited and nervous at the same time, we only have a week to prepare, everyone else has had about 5! Will try and get some pics up of the end result next week xx

I am back tonight and tomorrow night, I think we are going to be doing bikini line waxing and underarms! Ouch!

I had a little bit of homework to do on A and P happy I have got that done. Im off work the end of the this week so planning on doing alot of revision and then testing myself.

Oooh Lauren, I am really looking forward to learning waxing but I dont think we are doing it until after Christmas. We are however starting formatives this week which im super excited about! I cant wait to start getting the formatives under my belt asap so I can get my sumatives done and get an idea of what level I will qualify with :biggrin:

The liner hotel, just behind lime st station. Not bein competitive about it though, its not everyday you get told to do what you please, more outrageous the better and get to see everyone elses creations too! Wouldnt mind the trip to blackpool for the finals though, never been before haha xx

Hello lovely ladies! I love college!! We are all practising different looks in make up, facials, done pressure point and the full massage routine I love it. Manicure, paraffin wax also hot oil. Waxing tonight, everywhere! We have done half leg, full leg, bikini, high bikini, underarm, eyebrows, lip too.

First online assessment is on the 13th, health and safety. Also have a beauty festival at the beach ball room on the 10th.

So I honestly wish I had done this years ago! I love learning and being part of this!

You all seem to be doing a lot more detail than me which is great, the only bad side to being part time for me!

I had my top leg and bikini done last night and I also waxed my partner! I think I am getting better at doing a leg wax but the bikini is such a awkward place! lol!

I have college again tonight and we shall be doing facials, Mondays and Tuesday we have different teachers and they teach us different things from the program so can get a little confusing when you have been doing one thing one day and then something else the next!

Oooh I used the liner to put some competition guests and their family up in the past - cute hotel and how can you live so close to Blackpool and never have been lol? I demand even if you don't make the finals that you arrange a trip and good luck!

Chezza - health and safety is a doddle. We are doing out 2nd theory test next Tuesday and I will also be starting formatives this thursday on facials and tinting and next Tuesday we start formatives for tanning :Love: yeay!

Miss Lauren, well waxing is something I haven't done so dont worry about the speed you are learning, either way you will get there

We have our 2nd written paper tomorrow on "beauty related industries". Quite looking forward to having another module nailed and under my belt. Next week we have an exam for our facials and skin which I know will be a bit trickier and I should revise a bit more for it. We did a mock today and I managed 15.5/20 without revision so hopefully can pull that score up with some revision

Im sat here procrastonating by blogging and browsing pinterest -when really i need to go prep for having a spray tan tomorrow in class not that I mind... I just hate that I need to put effort into sorting myself out for it :lol:
