Hi everyone. I am a qualified nail tech and beauty therapist, am just setting up on my own and can not find any of my certificates. currently looking for 1 day accredited acrylic nail courses near Huddersfield so I can just get my certification again. Any recommendations are appreciated x

I would think that your best bet would be to do a conversion/crossover course with the brand you intend to use as that would be of more benefit, however, they are likely to want to see your qualifications! It's worth speaking to them though.

Any decent full acrylic course is going to be more than one day though

Can you get in touch with your original training provider and ask if you can buy duplicate certificates? This would probably still be cheaper than wasting money on a substandard quick course.

Thanks for your reply! I’ve done lots of training with different people near the beginning of my career (17 years ago) thing is I can’t remember what year etc I did them, I have got in touch with a couple of brands I did training with. One of them doesn’t have the diaries from that far back so wouldn’t know which certificate they would give me, and the other doesn’t have records from that far back either. I literally need the paperwork to sort out insurance for myself as before I was under salon insurance and certification was with the salon. It’s just that I don’t want to do days of training learning everything that I’ve already learnt just to get the certificate.

Oh that's a shame none of them can help you :-(

I understand your reason for wanting to do a quick one day course just for the certificate for insurance purposes, but I'm not sure its going to be as simple as that because you'll also need a manicure/pedicure certificate, and presumably gel polish too? That's not going to be cheap, or quick. :-(

I have my NVQ level 2 city and guilds for beauty therapy so that’s not an issue luckily, my college will re issue my certificate for that, it’s only the acrylic I need :) sorry, didn’t give all the info xx
