Hey Geeks,

I've done my NVQ and have been doing some extra short courses so that I can hopefully in time grow my small Beauty business and eventually leave my full time unrelated job.

I've sighed up to a 2 day Acrylic or UV Gel extensions course and I must choose which I want to cover on the day. I've been researching both options and looking at kits etc but I'm so torn on what to do first. Eventually I will do the other option but its hard to choose what I want to cover first.

I would be really keen to know if people feel there is more demand for Acrylic over UV or vice versa? And which would be the best to learn first? I can find Acrylic kits galore across the trade sites but hardly much for UV, unless I'm not looking properly. Would UV also mean that I could offer Gel Polish too or would that need a different course??? So confused right now. Thanks in advance x

Liquid & Powder first, it's harder to master but you can learn structure more easily as it's sets faster

I agree with Trinity in that I Recommend the L&P (Acrylic) course first.
Also, in response to your other question, no, a UV Gel Enhancement course doesn't cover Gel Polish, you still need a course for that x

Brilliant! Thank you so much ladies. I will do the Acrylic first and get good at that before looking at the UV. That's great thanks again. Xx
