I've had a potential client get in touch with me about having treatment. She is unsure what she would like.

But she has problems with nail varnish not lasting more than 2 days.

However her nails she says are "very fine and flake and split very easily. I use nail varnish but it never 'sticks' very well, so flakes and I'm re-painting two days later."
This is due to treatment she had for cancer, which she has beaten!

What sort of treatment would others suggest to her?

Many thanks for any help.

IBX should help, you can use the repair step twice on really bad nails. She could use CND rescue & solar oil at home.

It sounds like she needs a lot of help.

Sorry got a question! If I used the IBX. Do you think it's best to use it as a treatment by itself to start with until her nails are stronger?
Maybe try a polish over them if she would like a colour and see if that helps it to last longer?

Thanks

If she hasn't got a strong healthy nail & it flakes it should look significantly better after IBX. See what she wants to do.

I fixed my mother in laws nails after she took her shellac off with meths & they looked so much better, but a quick glance was all they got. I thought it was flipping amazing to get that result.

(No, I don't do her nails now after that debacle)

I would second the advice of applying IBX. Start as a weekly treatment for up to a month then moving to fortnightly appointments. Once you start seeing a significant improvement in the condition of the nails she could then move on to either regular manicures with or without gel polish and she should hopefully get better wear by then. Do take before photos so she can she the improvement. Louella Belle is the official suppliers of IBX.

Thank you so much for all the advice and the suppliers! I am registered with Louella Belle so I will take a look. Does the IBX need removing if it is set under a lamp? I only found out about if you use it under gel.

thank you both for your advice

No removal needed. It penetrates the nail plate and bonds the top layers together, creating strength and integrity. The excess, after curing, is just cleansed off the nail with IPA. Wonderful stuff :)
