OK so a friend comes to me and says 'what can you do with these?'

she had really nice enancements on both hands except one finger on each. one finger was bare with a few scuffs on. and on the othe hand one finger nail had been buffed so thin the free edge had a hole in and the nail plate had red spots.

According to my friend she had had french gel enhancements on about a week ago and had gone back as two had shattered but not come off. anyway apparently the gel used was the buff off type and the first one was ok but when she did the second one, when the enhancements were sculpted the form didn't fit properly and this resulted in the nail being in the middle of the tip, the tech didn't notice and filled right through.

Needless to say my friend wouldn't let her carry on but now has 2 bare nails one of which is very thin. She wants to know if i can help her as she doesn't want mis matched nails.

i work in gel myself but am a bit reluctant to file them off (i use gentle gel) as i don't like the way the free edge is encapsulated. and I'm not sure about re applying gel as the nail bed has been thinned and i don't want the heat to be uncomfortable.

Any suggestions?

Please??

how about a layer of fibreglass to protect the nail and a thin layer of resin this should be less hurtful and does not need to be buffed off. At least then she can grow it out.
