Hiya. Probably a bit naughty cos i'm not a hairdresser I'm a trainee beautician but I was wondering if any of you could give me some advice. My hair is really curly, sorf and shiny but very very frizzy. it always looks messy and obviously in this job i can't be looking messy! Does anyone know of anything that will work to smooth it out - even when I straighten it it goes frizzy! I've tried frizz ease, avon lotus shield, frizz free serum (from wilko so not suprised it doesn't work), loreal curl definition spray, and loads of other products. I can't really afford to spend a lot. can anyone help me please?
Thanks, Char xxx

I too have frizzy hair and i love frizzease and also a Rusk oil I use too, they really help 'settle' my hair.... but everyones hair responds differently to different products thou so keep trying everything you find and you will soon stumble upon what works best for your hair X

Have you tried Moroccan Oil? There is the original Oil and a Curl Cream, both are fab, it works as a treatment and give lots of shine and moisture, it's not cheap but you do not need to use a lot so it lasts ages you can get the Oil in 25ml and 100ml, both were recently on special offers 125ml for price of 100ml and 25ml 25% off, its the best way to buy it.

Good luck with it x

I know you say you don't want to spend a lot, but it would probably work out cheaper in the long run to go to a salon and ask for advice. The product you buy will probably cost twice or three times what you have been paying, but it's likely to work, and if you think about it, what have you paid out on dodgy products already?

Sounds like a brazillian blowdry would be the answer to your prayers xx

I know it's a bit more expensive but I love Aveda Be Curly, fantastic on my frizzy hair

I use Amargan Oil, fabulous stuff! You only need a drop or 2 on wet hair, then style as usual. Hair feels amazing after, cuts down styling time (really does as I have timed it lol), has added UV protector and can be used as a heat protection on dry hair. Best buy ever - that and GHD's anyway

try tigi rockaholic shine blaster (little blue bottle) if you're registered to Capital or Sally's then you can get it there for wholesale price. its not overly expensive and will last you ages! I use it on my hair which used to always look frizzy even after straighening and its been a god send! use on wet hair before drying and then after to smooth any fly-aways :)

i agree.. stop wasting your money on cheap products... if you can get your hair straight joico do a fab dehumidifying spray =] i will keep it from fizzing up again .. good luck x

We use Sexy Hair products and they have an oil called 'Soy Renewal' it's Argan Oil from Morocco, it's in their Healthy Sexy Hair Range and it's amazing, we can't sell it quick enough it makes your hair feel like hair again, when my customers ask me what it is I just call it BRILLIANT cos that's what it is! Xx.

I too have very frizzy, curly hair. I do have a brazilian blow dry twice a year, but have just discovered the moroccan oil or Argan oil ( I use the Agadir but the morrocan oil I believe is also great) which is the best thing I have ever used. Its not cheap for a bottle but you really only need a little bit and its leaves hair shiny and frizz free!!:lol:

hi,moroccan oil is fab for frizzy hair!x

I have spoken with numerous clients who have had a brazilian blow dry and not been pleased with the result... Plus the solution contains formaldehyde which is not the nicest thing to be using on your hair...

The best thing I have found is the new range by alterna; called Bamboo Smooth... The shampoo and conditioner contain kendi oil which is just like moroccan oil but without the nasty bits i.e. silicone etc. so it will not compound and couse build up on your hair. The oil is also available to use before blow drying either in a dropper bottle or as a spray for finer hair... it smells amazing and contains loads of organic goodies for your hair... it really is amazing, and the bottle costs about £20 but it will last at least 6 months so really it is worth it in the long run...

U can use formalyhyde free Soloution global keratin for instance is what I use it does not smoke or smell and have never had one not work my clients always rebook to keep theirs topped up they love it as do I , I did my own again last night, I agree there are many dodgy ones out there and some poor brands so Maybe the people u have spoken to have just been unlucky? X

Hi products will help, but its a case of tria and error to find what is good for you but if you are really looking for results then you may as well use the product money for a brazillian blow dry, it will last you for months and improve your hair guaranteed.
