Hi all, I am at college learning how to do acrylic nails with nsi products. I have done some friends nails and they seem to start peeling after a few days, and some tips have broken too . Can i have some advise please?? thank you :) Also was thinking of getting a uv lamp so i dont have to buff the nails and to give a better finish. Can anyone advise on what make i should buy? :irked:

Hi katy

has your course tutor discussed all these problems with the class in on the causes lifting and breaking?

Have a look at your prep again,, make sure all none living tissue is removed from the nail plate and make sure the plate is completely free from oils etc, ( your nail discinfectant/ dehydrator )

Also maybe the tips are too long?
have a look at your zone two, have you got a nice C curve on the stres area?

Also have a look at your mixing ratio, is your ball too wet/ too dry?

and dont forget to tell your clients about the after care that they should follow at home :)

bnest of luck chick and dont be too shy in talking to your tutor xx

Don't be too hard on yourself either. This happens to us all in the beginning. None of us are born natural nail techs we all have to gain experience and practice our fingers off!

Remember the tip gets its strength from your product. Concentrate on your apex and prep. xxxx
