Any Advice On First Wedding Make-Up

How did you get on with the wedding make up in the end?

I am in a similar position to you. I am an experienced beauty therapist just getting into taking on more bridal make up and am equally nervous about my first one coming up this month!

Sure I will!

I am doing the trial this week. Did her spray tan trial and she was thrilled with that so now I have to live up to her expectations with the make up! Am sure it will get easier every one we do!

She also mentioned she wants smokey eye and not a natural look! Guess that will look ok so long as it's not too strong as it's an indoor winter wedding but bang goes all my 'natural' eye make up looks I had been practicing so hard!

Had a little panic and have just been trying out some suggestions to show her. It's only the eye make up I worry over!

I am still waiting for a bride who wants a natural look and so far have been tested with more challenging clients! A 70's party look, Keira Knightly prom look and 2 brides wanting something more dramatic!!

I am nervous about this one as it is the first one I am doing at the venue rather than my beauty room. Worried about forgetting to take something or running out of time with all the other goings on around!

Hiya, you will be fine, mine went brilliantly - i even got the chance to help the bride get ready. Her fiancee sent her a gift and she started crying half way through the makeup so i had to fix that.

Also, i got my second booking this week too - cant wait. The trial is next week.

You just have to believe in yourself and be confident - if you do something wrong, dont panic, you can wipe it off and start again.
