i too was using the hd and having the problems. i was using it with the Qmonomer...are you?? just to add though as i was using the q monomer i was still doing my q monomer prep inc the primer. The nails themselves looked great when i had first finished but they just didnt last

I'm using the HD monomer and exactly the same as you, I finish and think yep, they're a nice set of nails but within days they're all lifting !?

I know Izzy no longer is an educator for EZ Flow but the knowledge is still in there and she did help me heaps.

Thanks for that Eni!
I do think I try to answer as many questions on here as I can, irrespective of brand, yes I use Nfu.Oh now, but I have been and Educator for both EZflow and CND I do like to think I am unbiased and stick to the ethos of this site which is just to help my fellow industry professionals with whatever knowledge I have.

I think that no good training actually goes to waste, we take the knowledge on with us wherever we go.

I don't understand how education, in whatever field, can go to waste.
I learned many things with CND from some great people, I know I definitely have Amanda Fontanarossa to thank for teaching me patience  and The Geek himself for getting my smiles perfect (finally!!)

Should I just have discarded all of this when I moved on to EzFlow or say it was a waste of my time now I was doing something else, and that wall full of certificates and money spent meant nothing??

HELL NO!!

The same goes for all that I learned at EzFlow, although I wasn't with them that long, I still am thankful that I got to train with Anthony Buckley and I appreciate everything I learned from him and also Victoria Smith, whose motivational skills are second to none!

I feel I have joined in the digression of this thread enough without going into the business of why people move on from being a SUB distributor for one company to being a full on Distributor for another.

I do think that whatever the company anyone has issues with Graftons or whoever, they should really take it up with them directly. After all customer service isn't about being perfect (no one is), but about sorting out problems when they arise. If you don't know there is a problem then how can you sort it.

Lilly I am sorry if I got caught up more with the hijacking of this thread, but so glad Crazysaz , and Sian finally answered your actual questions.
I am sure they will be of more help than I would be as they are much more hands on with the products, and I never really used HD preferring Q&A.
There are a lot of EzFlow users on her so you should always feel free to post a question, it doesn't always have to be an Educator that solves the problem
As for Sparklepink, I miss her on the site, but know she is far to busy with a booming business and booming love life :Love:to be here as much as she used to....and who could blame her!!

PS: I would just like to say that I have not received any payment for any comments on this thread or any other on Salon Geek........although should anyone wish to offer such payments feel free to PM me.
Offers of payment for me to stop posting will be not be tolerated :smack:

Hi al

Can anyone tell me if there is any EZFlow educators on here, just got a couple of questions

Thanks X

Oh it was just a couple of questions, the usual stuff cuticle and side wall lifting ! I PMed crazysaz and she has given me a couple of pointers.

I think I could really do with a short refresher course in L&P I trained in it way back but have always used gel, all the courses I have looked into are either conversion or full courses which I dont think i need ???

I'm using the HD monomer and exactly the same as you, I finish and think yep, they're a nice set of nails but within days they're all lifting !?

Im an EzFlow MA Educator..... and have give lots and lots of advise on the geek in my own time and for free..... being an educator isnt just about being in a classroom....its also about being there as a support after classes if needed.... be it on the ol' geekio or via facebook, email, text, or even down the phone...
I know I dont post like i used to.... but am still here if anyone needs me

now back to the thread......

Lilly, have you done an HD conversion or just purchased the products?

High Definition is a totally different product to use.... believe me when i say i really struggled to get to grips with it in the beginning.... as I liked my wetter ratios like with Q&A but I really do love HD now.... the colours are so bright and I'd be lost with out them
HD really likes a 'virgin' nail.... so with some clients you may have to bare with it a while if they have had another product on

HD does have a drier ratio but remember to really pat with your brush and let the plasticisers work for you.... I always think pick up you white like a snowball then once you have placed your bead let it become satin.... basically you need to wait a second before going to work the product (its almost like the product 'melts'...lol)
Another way to ensure a good ratio if you are having problems getting it drier is to pick up wetter and remove any excess monomer from the back of your brush on paper towel before applying
HD does also really need to be buffed in well at the cuticle area... to do this remember your file angles when finish filing.... and also remember about grit-graduation and giving them a really good sand shark :)

Re: lifting issues.... did you have any issues before hd?.... if so it could be a number of things... ie natural nail prep.... making sure you have removed all the non living tissue from the nail plateetc...........are you using dry prep? .......what file are you using to remove the shine from tha natural nail... ezflow use a grey fox file which is a 180 grit zebra file... anything softer may cause issues for you if you arent patting your product in enough durring application

You mentioned doing a refresher course... with ezflow you have a few options.... an HD conversion if you have not already attended one (this class is now for free when purchasing the hd kit) or a 'Believe and Succeed' workshop to work on the areas you really need help with.... or you can also book in for a 1 2 1 class with your educator to iron out the problems you are having

If I can help any more then please either post or feel free to pm me

Jess x
