Any MUA's who can recommend a good bridal foundation for me please?

Before I head towards Boots for some samples, would be great to hear from MUA's with experience of bridal work.

I had my trial the other day and she used Estee Lauder Double Wear Light but I just thought it was a little chalky on my face.

I'm 45 so prefer my foundations to be more light reflecting/dewy but I want it to last the day. My skin is going through a stressy phase and it's more dry in parts than oily. I NEVER have to wear any translucent powders.

I currently use Clinique Super Moisture foundation in the day, think it's Ivory and I use MAC Studio Sculpt NW20 for nights out.

What would you lovely ladies suggest?? :D

I always though double wear flashed back in photos, because of the SPF but a quick google seems to say they've fixed this. But is there any reason you don't want to use the foundations your normally use?

What is it that you want that they don't already do?

I tried the Double Wear Light but it's too drying on my chin.

I don't think the Clinique lasts the distance to be honest and it's very sheer and although I don't have many blemishes (at the moment).

I wasn't really sure whether there was a particular foundation that is more suitable to photos, so if someone can tell me that MAC Studio Sculpt is great for bridal, then I may just use that.

I'm bloody nuts, I have a make up artist doing my make up, yet I'm buying all the stuff. Think I've discovered my inner control freak along this bridal journey... :irked:

I love Jane Iredale pure pressed for Bridal. It lasts all day and gives a fab dewy finish. Because it is a pressed mineral, it can be reapplied, giving great coverage. Comes in loads of shades and makes the skin look great. Contains no Bismuth that can have a slightly greying sheen with flash photography, as well as aggravating the skin. Hope that helps!

My favourite bridal foundations at the minute are Armani luminous silk and Nars sheer glow, and Laura mercier silk creme all look beautiful on the skin
