I have to post this -
just yesterday evening I had a visit from a 'client' who wished to discuss skin care. As soon as she walked into reception I knew she was a rep, (and I use the term loosely). She began by trying to educate me on skin care to which she pulled out some product literature - it was Arbonne!
I was polite (after all she is only trying to make a living), and felt somewhat sorry for her. From what she was discussing with me it was clear she really did not have much knowledge regarding skin health. I asked her about her background and queried what she actually knew about skin, to which her reply was - 'not that much really'. I think she was aware that she was not going to be able to 'blag' it. She was way out of her depth - of all the places she decided to try to educate - she had to pick a skin clinic! She then asked my opinion on how to approach beauty salons and therapists - to which I advised IMO, I did not feel reputable salons would really be interested. I have to say, again, I did really feel for her.
My point is, as has already been raised, any jo public can purchase these products and begin attempting to market them, with admittedly - very little or no knowledge of skin care at all! This neither makes good business sense and to my mind, totally undermines the validity of the product! This is no pofessional product.
