Are any geeks doing housework today

Well I'm back on again and have been on and off all morning. I have now caught up on the washing but have a huge pile of ironing, I have one large pan of chicken stew simmering, (which will be devided up into 4 meals and frozen for use over the next few weeks) and another base mix of mince, onions & peppers which will be then turned into shepards pie filling, spag bol and chilli con carne when I add the other ingrediants, another 6 meals for the freezer!
I do this sort of cooking about once a month to make life easier when I'm busy in the salon.
I still haven't cleaned but I think it's now time to get out of my PJ's. xx

:hug:god vanessa you are soo good!! i think i take what you have sais on board never really cook and freeze but its really good idea when your busy rather than the takeaway! lol

I batch cook and freeze as it's so much cheaper than take aways and microwave ping ready meals, you also know what has gone in, I bulk all mine up with plenty of fresh vegtables. I spent about £25 in Lidl yesterday and have now got 10 evening meals for the two of us.

I do the same with cakes/muffins, and pack them in two's.

Remember to label your frozen meals so it's not freezer surprise!

Now all we have to do is remember to take something out in the morning. xx

Hell yeah. Steak and kidney pie with custard is not a great food experience.
Mama always thought she'd remember what that pie was!
