Ash blonde colour/toner help

Hi everyone I'm just wondering what toner to use to achieve the tone as close to the pic as possible. Total virgin hair. I was going to balayage with 6% then tone but I have a horrible feeling its going to be yellow/orange. I have attached the pix the girl wants. Thank you

You’ve got to lift that to a 10 before toning.

Thanks. So better stick with my gut and use a 40 vol ?

If you’re starting from say a 6, you don’t need 40vol. Are you using a clay based bleach developed for balayage?

I think you may be better backcombing and foiling for that, then painting a few pieces in the top and laying foil over.

As Haircutz said it HAS to be a 10 to achieve the silver. What do you plan to tone with?

Havent done one for ages. I think your right re the back combing and foiling. That will be nicer end result. Toner wise maybe pearl ash blonde ? What do you guys think ? With 10 vol or even pastel x

You're gonna need some violet to neutralise any yellow. You'll get a much better result if you tone the yellow then apply your silver shade but its not 100% necessary.
