Hi all, need some advice. I've been bleach foiling my friends hair and using swartzkopt 9.1 10vol as an ash toner. Always looks fab when its done- a real ash blonde. But unfortunately its only lasting 2 weeks before the toner has faded and the gold/yellow tones come through again. I've always used swarzkopt but if anyone can recommended another brand with a great ash toner that lasts then that would be great!

Have you checked what aftercare your friend is following? Toner is meant to fade so needs to be re-applied about every 4 weeks depending on how often the client washes her hair. If she’s using excess heat either washing or too hot straighteners/blow drying, this will reduce its longevity.

Also, you should really use a demi or semi to tone.

It is a seml i use and always looks great. She's washing it every other day and straightenes once a week. I just didn't know whether there was a "better" toner out there i could try

Ask her to use Purple shampoo!!

Tell her to look up guy tang heat damage video, anything above 185 on the straighteners will strip the colour and also if she doesn't use heat protection.
Your blonde toners don't last that long, may be you could apply it on dry hair to absorb more.
Also I agree with the toning shampoo, fanola is great as it has a low ph but please stress to her that's she needs to avoid touch of silver, it's taken months for one of my clients hair to get back into condition after using daily. It snapped and the frizz was unbelievable and that was only on tinted hair not bleach .
