Gift voucher packaging

What do you give your vouchers away in? Where i used to work we used to put them in a little box with a chocolate and tided it in a bow with raffia. I am currently trying to find something to give my vouchers away in for xmas and wondered what you all do and where you get them from? I am wanting to get the new sensations from sweet squared the champayne ones to give away with every voucher sold in the month of december.

Hayley, this sounds like a great idea, but a pricey one!
I looked into boxes before for gift vouchers but think they worked out £2 each!

That sounds lovely what they did in your old salon - very plush.
Out of interest, will you give a free lotion with every gift voucher, or will it just be for vouchers bought over £x amount?
I was thinking of putting vouchers in a xmas gift bags with a little treat, I was going to take a trip down to the card factory for some ideas - they are so cheap! Saying that gift vouchers in boxes would look so luxurious!
If you find a cheap/reasonable company to get boxes from, please let me know.

I am hoping to do this providing it doesnt end up costing th earth. Its my first year on my own and was hoping it would encourage my clients to buy fir their family and friends. I never thought about doing the free gift fir a certain amount. I supose that would get them spending more money hmmm now youve made me think lol. Would you say free gift when spending £20 or over or £15? I just think it adds a nice touch espcially when being given as a gift. Xx

I couldnt agree more, I think it is a lovely extra special touch
I think I would be incline to do;
"All gift vouchers bought in December over £20 will be presented in a luxury gift box along with a gift"
I guess you have to add the cost of the lotion, box, ribbon, & voucher I am guessing maybe £3/3.50 per box so its not worth doing it for small amounts. Also if you state you get all this for vouchers over £20, I couldnt imagine you getting anyone buying a standard £10/£15 voucher.
You could even do vouchers over £50 get xyz
& voucher over £100 get xyz+
Thats not a bad idea, think I might use that one myself :lol:

:idea: Or if the boxes are too expensive how about those little put together yourself boxes that look like pillows (if that makes sense) ones you get wedding favours in, or, organza bags? You could roll the vouchers into scrolls & tie with a ribbon to fit them in them! x:hug:x

I offered gift vouchers wrapped up for an additional £2.50 and I put them in a little shiny bag with copious amounts of tissue paper and then hole punched a business card that I had made up to match the gift voucher which said "a gift for you....."

I've used these before. They are gorgeous tied with raffia or organza ribbon with a posh little gift tag (and business card if you like)

Vouchers purchased in the month of december to the value of £20 or more will be gift wrapped.
Vouchers purchased in the month of december to the value of £35 or more will be gift wrapped and recieve a free gift.
Any gift vouchers purchased below £20 can be gift wrapped at an extra charge of £2.50

Not quite sure though. I dont really have alot of interest in vouchers so dont know wether this will work. Do you have interest in vouchers? And more at xmas?

Yes, that sounds good.
Yes I do sell gift vouchers throughout the year, but more at christmas time, maybe start letting your clients know now that you are selling your xmas vouchers, or do you send out newsletters? If so add that info to them. Are you mobile or salon based? If you are in a salon you could put posters up to let clients know. Have you had any more luck finding what you are going to put your vouchers in? x

I only paid about 50p each for the gift voucher boxes, my large printed boxes were about £2 each (shoebox size with logo in gold foil).

We've just redone our vouchers using quality envelopes (we are being asked to send more and more).

I am mobile so thinking of doing a monthly news letter to let people know about my offers and things. I stopped looking for awhile while ive been on holiday now im back on it and going to sort it out in the next week so that i can get them out there. Fingers crossed as this month has been DEAD!!! but as i see im not the only one. Spray tan training tomorrow yay cant wait. What packages/treatment deals do you do at this time of the year ready for xmas parties?
Thinking of some sort of spray tan+shellac fingers and minx toes ??
