Im just wondering how you guys do your pricings.. how much do you charge per sitting? Do you price it up as you go i.e balayage + toner + second bleach application? Or is it one bulk sum?

I would price everything individually.
If having several services in one sitting I give a discount as I'm already set up and in the flow.
I'd if toning straight after a balayage less than if they have just come for a toner c

For color pricing I would recommend that the final bill is at least 10% of the product cost. When looking into longer appointments such as balayage can be, I work out my average price per hour as the main variable in this situation is your time. For a full head balayage highlights with olaplex I charge about £150- £230 hth

I honestly think 1 - it depends on where your salon is as in town centres they seem to be able to charge a lot more for services and also I charge all services separate and normally say balayage starts from £65 so goes up from there depending on length and thickness of the hair, time it will take, toners and how much product I will be using ect, have a look at prices in other salons near by and see what they are charging

I think thinking like this will keep that mentality going and then nothing will change. If you're good at your job people will pay that bit more no matter where you are.

Obviously you may loose some clients if you suddenly double your prices, but charging a bit more shouldn't be an issue, prices of everything goes up all the time, it shouldn't be something we are afraid of. X

To the OP I like to keep prices simple, so I include toner in the price of highlights/balyage so they are already paying for it. And if they don't need a toner, it's the same price.

Keeps it simple, there is nothing worse then when a client doesn't want to pay for a toner and then their hair isn't perfect.

We have put our prices up as you have to when prices of stock ect change, however I also think about my clients I want to give them the best in everything including affordable reasonable prices, loyalty means a lot to me.
When using a toner I charge for it and profit obviously but if someone does not need a toner I will not charge them for something they haven’t had as I am honest with everyone and that keeps my clients coming back to me and trusting me completely.
I would never let anyone walk out my salon without perfect hair and me feeling 100% happy with the job I have done, I understand what your saying but it really does depend on where your salon is.

I think you need to take into account the time it takes and the technical skill involved. It is also a good idea to charge for any extra colour used (2nd bleach application if required) as it is still coming at a cost to you/your salon to mix more. Don't sell yourself short!
