Ahhhhh just had a mare of an appointment... I had a mother and daughter combo for gel polish and they were fine but the husband/dad sat on the couch and just bombarded (and I mean bombarded me!!) with 1001 questions, why are my prices what they are, where did I train, why nails as a profession etc etc... I got so flustered that I made two errors on the mum (used Gellux products) I forgot the base coat on one hand (realised for the second!) then on the daughter (used Shellac products) I remembered the base coat but forgot to cure it, just went straight on to first coat of colour!!!!! So so angry at myself do you think they will last????

They probation won't last being totally honest but it sounds to me this was Purley a case of nerves rather than lack of knowledge/training. Again least you recognised where you went wrong! Next time..Tey to stay calm..panicking and rushing will always lead to mistakes. Take your time and do everything step by step. This is all experience at the end of the day. Don't be too hard on yourself!

I forgot to apply base coat on myself once, only the first hand then remembered for the second lol but they actually both lasted the same length of time. I rarely get a full two weeks on my own nails as they get damaged with work, filing, acetone etc They managed about a week and half so your client might be ok. I wouldn't say anything to her unless she does have a problem and gets in touch.

Next time, try to be more assertive. Tell him (nicely) to shut up.

Hopefully their nails will be fine. I've had a couple of people start rattling on and I've pointed out that I really need to concentrate seeing as I'm using sharp implements and potentially dangerous chemicals ... funnily they shut up after that lol but it's the hazard of being mobile - inquisitive spectators :/

Thank you! They both booked their appointment for 2 weeks time, before I left, so fingers crossed!!!!! Xx
