Hello everyone,

Just thought I would try my luck on this forum, I'm in desperate need of advice! I have naturally mousey brown hair, and had a full head of highlights (think she used bleach and "ash blonde") around 4 weeks ago. Colour came out great when I first had it done! However, I'm now at the usual stage of it looking kinda brassy and dull and more like one colour. The hairdresser advised me to use a purple shampoo once or twice a week, which I do, but to be honest I think it needs something more!

I'm not at the stage where I need my roots done, I just want the colour closer to what it was when I first had it done. Would I need to basically "tone" my hair by myself? Until I return in 6 weeks?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ta x

What you need is a revlon colour ball in Platinium that's stronger than purple shampoo.....wear gloves though chick! ;) x

sounds like it needs toned, you could go back and ask them to do this or leave your purple shampoo on for longer..

which purple shampoo are you using?
which shampoo are you using when not using purple?

You either need another toner , but if it was ok when first done which shampoo do you use and how often are you shampooing hair this will make a difference to how long your toner last! So as suggested before colour balls from revlon are fab!!
