Hi, again, after more advice.

My passion, background and expertise lie in massage and I am qualified in a wide range.

I am considering my options and looking into (in the distant future) becoming a trainer.

I have no idea how to even begin this process. I've been researching but have come up stuck.

Does anyone have an experience with this?

Thanks, Natalie

Hi Natalie,
Firstly you need to have your NVQ L3 qualification in whatever your teaching in this case massage.
You can then enrol onto the PTLLS course - 'Preparing to teach in the lifelong sector' (although I had heard that they may have changed the name - but ultimately it's the same kind of course.
This is the minimum teaching qualification required to teach / train. Then depending on where you want to work etc you can enrol right up to a PCE (undergraduate teacher) , TAQA assessors qualification - if you plan to work in a college teaching & assessing NVQ's.
There are quite a few threads on this if you want to research and read more into it. Try researching : TEACHING / PTLLS / CERTIFICATE IN EDUATION
Hope this helps

Thanks Sandra, your reply really helped. Another question, I have level 3 & 4 nvq's in massage, however, I have also done day courses in things like pregnancy massage. Would this allow me to teach this particular massage technique or would I literally have to have level 3 nvq in each and every massage technique? Thanks, Natalie
