Hiya

i work on my own, so have come to you guys for some advice.

I did a new clients hair last week. her hair is platinum blonde, with purple ends as she uses so much violet shampoo.

she always has bleach on the roots so i used wella so the cream bleach with 6% it was on for 40mins so i rinsed and toned with 8/81.

It wasnt white enough for her!!! so asked me to bleach again as its normally blonder than that after bleach.
so repeated the process again. this did make it very ashy.

Anywho shes back as its not "white" enough!

i dont want to bleach it again so shall i shall apply 8/81 again, last time i dont think i left it long enough as it turned very ash quickly and i kinda panicked but clearly not long enough or 10/1???

Any advice is appreciated thank in advance

Is there any bands from where you have lightened the roots, as in is it darker at the root than the previous colour was?

I find with some clients like this, they don't actually "see" what is happening with their hair. x

Her ends when she popped in were purple from all the shampoo and she said she had loads of dry shampoo in the roots. I think it's a very pale yellow compared to her purple ends!! She said she doesn't mind if it went grey rather than yellow

What you need to do is look and see if there is a band between the last time she had her roots done, and the time you did it. If not, then it will be as blond as last time. Get Schwarzkopf BlondMe Steel Blue toner - it works a treat. xx

Maybe the 8 is taking it down too much try using a base 9 or 10 to tone xx

I only did it last week. I was thinking 12/81 obviously not bleaching it first?

Thanks again for the help she's in at 1

dont use 12/81 its a high lift not a toner. wont do anything but wreck the hair.

check for a band. if there is not one, then you have lifted it to as light as it was the last time she had it coloured.

Tone with 10/8. Obv keep an eye on it!! Or else she will have blue hair :-O

I don't think she would mind blue hair! I havn't got any 10/8 in stock...typical.

Have you got any.....10/16? thats nice, ash violet.

Tried phoning to rearrange when I have colours in but of course she HAS to have her hair done by Friday

This was a Groupon offer I did so I have actually lost money and my time by doing her hair.

This is a bad day!

Rant over lol

Used 8/81 came out perfect

Oh I am the biggest worrier...about everything! Lol

Kimi, Am I right thinking the blonde me Steel blue is a strong ash color, and the Ice is more like a silver color. Thanks. x

Yeh, the steel blue is more blue ash. The ice is more silvery.
