Hi just completed collage gel polish course and I am now looking to buy an led light. Anyone have any suggestions to a good quality middle of the road price light? Thank you

What system are you going to be using?

Thinking about using Gelish, the branded lamps are expensive!

I have never worked with Gelish, however, I experiments a lot and thus use several brands. I have got this lamp https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DHL...2277511356.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.64.9M3now
Works for me very well and have had it for ~6 months now. It cures gel polish in 30sec, hard gel in 1min. Only flaw in my opinion is that metalic removable lid, that covers the bottom of lamp, which is attached by magnets to the lamp isn't designed very good. It slides over small knobs that rise the lamp like 7mm off the surface it stands on, yet the lid itself is not supported by such knobs, so every time you rest a hand inside the lamp on the lid, it just hops off of lamp. It doesn't affect lapms performance, but can be a bit annoying. I will used those thingys you place under furniture on the underside of the lid to give it the support, so it wouldn't hop off.

I would suggest you choose your brand first with lots of research. Then buy the correct LED light for the system.
Take some time to read all the threads here on salon geek about the pros and cons of each brand, it will help you decide.
You need to consider hard gels, soak off gels, hybrid gel polish..etc..etc..
You'll be surprised how complicated it gets!

Been reading loads going for a small gelish lamp. Eventually they will come down it price!

I completely agree.

It's always best to invest in the lamp that goes with the system. If you decide to go with Gelish they do offer a number of lamps all at different price points.

From another angle, please be aware that you are in the UK and insurance companies are very strict about following training protocols and manufacturers instructions incl. using the complete system.

If you have a client who becomes allergic to the product and decides to sue, you risk losing a lot more than the price of the recommended lamp if the insurance company learn that the technician wasn't using the full system. (You equals Nail Tech, not you personally :) )

Yes I got one to match the product. Thank you
