hi everyone,
I've finally decided to start up my own business My children are getting older now so it's the perfect time... After lots of consideration I've decided to book up with biogel.... I was wondering how you guys found the training? Was the course good?

Do you mean Bio Sculpture?

I did Bio Sculpture training as part of my year long esthetics training. It would depend upon the trainer. Mine wasn't very good. The products are good, but extremely expensive. I've used better brands that cost half the price. Your profit will be less with Bio Sculpture. Also it drove me crazy that I could only order through a rep and that shipping was crazy high.

I have to say, my experience was a bit more positive.
I have used many different types of brands and treatments myself for the last 15 years and found Bio sculpture to be the most hardwearing and long lasting, yet least aggressive brand... for me anyway. So when I decided to change career and go into Nails and Beauty Bio Sculpture was my first choice.
My trainer was exceptional and extremely knowledgeable about nail care and nail anatomy in general which I found very reassuring.
It is more expensive to buy than Shellac, for example, (which I also offer and who also offers really good training ) but it is longer lasting, and so although I charge my clients more they only have to come once a month instead of twice.
It may have only recently changed, but you can also buy all of their products online now and if you order before 12 noon you get next day delivery.

I think at the end of the day you have to decided what type of clients you think you will gain or be catering for within your area. I, for example, rarely have clients that ever ask for false or acrylics, ect. They want to maintain or encourage their own natural nail, so Bio is perfect for me. If my clients changed, I'd have to change.

Good luck! I know how daunting it is all is when you start - it's a minefield! I have found out so much being on here though - The ladies really know their stuff! :)

Thanks so much for your reply, I have my confirmation email sent this morning and will receive my kits tomorrow The gel course starts in 2wks...eeek!! I done a few courses back in 2004 and briefly worked in a salon which used bio and kinda fell in love with it... It's been a long time since Ive done any nails now as I have my lovely children, but my times finally come lol!! In my area there are a few people who do gellux and shellac and They don't offer sculptures or tips ect so I've booked myself on the sculpture course too as I know people keep asking for them plus I want to do nail art/stamping which also isn't offered from the other places....
Ahhhh nervous and excited!!

Good luck!! The sculpture day is great. I only get apply them now and then to broken nails really, but they're fab.
If they're still asking you to take a rubber glove, filled will rice to your training days, fill it with cous-cous instead - I found it filled the fingers much better.
See.. that's the type of amazing advice you get from here!! Ha!
