Hi guys I’m just needing some advice. I have a lady in a few weeks time. She does her roots herself every 4/5 weeks and tones her hair regularly. She is a very light ash blonde. She’s wanting some lowlights all the way through to break the block colour up. level 8 or 9. Last time I did a few bleach with 6% but she didn’t like it as it was too bright compared to her root colour which she does herself. She doesn’t want any gold at all just ashy blonde. Can anyone recommend anything as she’s already very ashy all over!!!!

She obviously is attached to the 'no gold addiction'. It sounds like she just is missing the dimension, especially if she is toning all over herself, frequently. I would almost do fine weaves of a lighter blonde and fine weaves of a lower level. That will keep her light enough that she wont feel shellshocked, but give her dimension that she is looking for with the darker added. The darker color I wouldn't focus too much on ash colors but just maybe a pretty natural tone. I usually find that they are looking more for dimension rather than darker.
